Monte Cook talks about his experience in Mexico in this article. What I found interesting was the spanish side note. While I don't speak spanish, I DO speak portuguese, and lived in Brasil for almost two years. (I still can't bring myself to spell Brasil with a 'z' instead of an 's').

My response to the spanish, "You don't even have to speak spanish to understand what is going on...and yup, I still don't know how to use a subjunctive correctly."
