The Finale Of Captain Marvel
It looks like Peter David has served up quite the finale for "Captain Marvel".  It's a real shame that CM never really found an audience.  This is probably one of the better comic books that no one is reading.  I guess I'm getting more picky as a reader as I get older.  I really do appreciate a comic book that manages to be entertaining while not insulting my intelligence.  And CM is the living embodiment of the term "anti-hero". 

At any rate, it sounds as if Mr. David is going to take CM out in a style befitting the high level of artistic (in the writing and the graphic art sense) achievement associated with the series.

Whedon To Write X-Men
Ninth Art (and, as far as I know, other sites) is reporting that Joss Whedon is going to start writing Amazing X-Men for Marvel.  I have to say as a comic fan, I have mixed feelings about this.  His writing on Fray was excellent but the comic book went so long between the first half of the series and the last half that it was almost comical.  Of course, I'm not really a big fan of the X books anyway but if Joss Whedon is writing them, I may just give them a look.
