Become a Diamond

This one is just too interesting to let go. It appears that a company in Chicago, LifeGem has perfected a way to turn the cremated ashes of a loved one who has passed on, into a synthetic diamond. That you can wear if you like. As the article in today's BBC states "the ash is purified at 3,000C before being further heated and pressurised into a diamond in about 16 weeks. " I just find this fascinating, a deceased loved one that you can wear in a ring on your finger, or a made into a brooch. From carbon to diamond. I can hear it now...."Oh what a lovely ring." "Yes that was my husband, George." But on a more serious note, perhaps it would be a powerful talisman if the bonds were strong in life. In esoteric gemology, diamonds are the most powerful of gems.....
