Useful Links BizTalk Server 2004 Beta Newsgroup The Architect Journal The inagural issue of the journal is out. Read the article on SOA - Understanding Service Oriented Architrectures. I liked the article. It is one of the better articles I have read on SOA. One interesting thing mentioned in this article is about the level of abstraction. It claims that services are the new order of abstraction in a steady progression from functions to objects to components. It also makes a case for service everywhere and not to let current current technlogy (read IIS) detract you from the SOA perspective. In fact this is also the message the Indigo team wants to convey. They see Indigo as providing as low cost SOAP dialtone inside a .NET managed process without the overhead of going through IIS. Another interesting part is the comment out implementation architecture of SOA. Authors claim that SOA implementation will be based on a set of components. 10:59:12 PM    comment []
