I really do need to get more involved n why we are not moving in this direction How Americans use instant messaging.   From the Pew Internet & American Life Project: 2004 Pew Internet & American Life surveys reveal that more than four in ten online Americans instant message. That reflects about 53 million American adults who use instant messaging programs.
