ADVANCED MICRO DEVICES has released a new mobile processor and announced that the chip is available in notebooks immediately
The new Mobile Athlon XP 2200+ will be priced at $186 in 1000-unit quantities sold to vendors. AMD's current performance leader among mobile processors, the Mobile Athlon XP 2000+, is priced at $345. The lower price for the new chip should mean that prices are set to decline across AMD's Mobile Athlon XP line.
Hmmmm. With the prices dropping so low I may just have to think about buying a laptop too!
