Musings on Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Stuart Henshall makes a point worthy of emphasis:

[A]ll social networking models are “conversational”. Conversations are the result of the tools and functionalities brought to you by the social networking toolmakers.

We are successful in our goal to help entrepreneurs be more successful to the extent that we facilitate conversations that they deem useful.  It's a simple idea that's surprisingly difficult to implement.  That's true, of course, because the tools and functionalities that we develop to catalyze human interactions invariably shape the conversation, often in subtly important ways.

Even so, it's an exciting time out here on the frontier, because there is growing talent devoted to developing and applying social software that will, among other things, help entrepreneurs learn from their (often distant) peers more easily and more effectively.  Their success will give our communities more opportunities to be successful, as well.
