New Wiki for Entrepreneurial Support Organizations

Along with Jeff Shuman and Jan Twombly of The Rhythm of Business, I've launched a public wiki for members of entrepreneurial support organizations (ESO's).  You can find it at http://esupportorg.net.

What's a wiki?  Well, if blogs are Web-based diaries, wikis are Web-based public bulletin boards.  A wiki is a simple Web site.  The distinction is that (unlike a blog), a wiki site is (very easily) editable by registered users.  Consequently, users can use the wiki to share information about themselves, their organizations, and the practice of supporting entrepreneurship.  It can be used to facilitate conversations, but it's more flexible than a threaded discussion.

Why a wiki for ESO's?  There is an increasing awareness worldwide of the important relationship between entrepreneurship and economic development.  As a consequence, there has been a surge in the formation of entrepreneurial support organizations (including my own, Pioneer Entrepreneurs).  That the good new.  The bad news?  The practice of ESO's is fragmented and nascent.  Our intentions and activity level often exceed our results.  An obvious strategy to get smarter and more effective faster is to learn from each other.  We hope this wiki will help.
