I still have problems capturing video with my new PC. Every time I try to capture with either Adobe Premiere 6.0 or DV Tools (both came bundled with my Pinnacle DV500PLUS) my PC reboot by itself after a few minutes. When WinXP restart, it tells me the crash was caused by my video card. (a Diamond Viper 770 Ultra). It is the same message I had when I was using the Matrox G450 LX. This is definitely worth investigating. This morning I went to the nVidia web site looking for the beta drivers but didn't find anything else than the certified drivers I ahve and that may cause problem. Maybe the drivers of the DV500PLUS are to blame... I then decided to use my laptop (IBM A20m, PIII-700, W2K, 128MB Ram, 12GB HDD, Belkin IEEE1394 card) to capture the tapes and through the network store them on my SCSI array (4 X IBM UltraStar 36LZX DDYS-T 18350N, Adaptec 29160) before splitting the scenes with Scenalizer then putting them on my big array based on my SX6000. This solution is only temporary as I must solve this problem before taking delivery of my Sony WV-DR9 on the 28th. It want it to be hooked to my DV500PLUS so I can capture tape without using my Sony TRV-20 camera.

Rien ne bat écouter La danse des mots a RFIen dînant (en déjeunant pour les Européens). J'aime bien les commentaires de Yvon Amar sur ces mots et expressions que l'on utilise à chaque jour sans se soucier de leur origine. Ça change les idées au millieu de la journée. On ne peut penser techno/boulot tout le temps, non? J'espère que La Grande Rousse l'écoute. ;-)
