Philipps DVD727K

I finally found in Singapore (while in transit between Hanoi and Jakarta) a good DVD player that we could carry around anywhere we may move next summer! It is a Philipps DVD727K and it is multi-zones, 110/220V, PAL/NTSC. The image quality is great and it makes me feel, like buying a 5.1 amp and good speakers. The neighboor downstairs may not like it though... ;-)

Command-line based TIVO-like

The method described in the entry quoted is quite clever. There really is no need for a GUI. I may turn one of my spare box into a mini-TIVO...
