I just bought a new lens: a Nikkor 50mm f1.8. I needed a good portrait lens. I will go out and take pictures with it over the week-end. I want to have plenty of time to practice before my brother-in-law's wedding. I'll post an informal review early next week.
I also bought a pair of DLT8000 second-hand drives. I'll be able to do back-ups on tapes I'll keep off-site.
