Comment Monitor: the next generation. Beta testers wanted; I have a new tool for you ;)

Here's the next stage of the comment monitor: an RSS feed generator for Radio UserLand comments. Follow that link, click on the server you are using (blogs.salon.com if you are a Salon Blogs user) and make sure it gets your comments right. If it does, past the 'RSS' link into your aggregator (Radio users click here to get to yours) and see what you get.

Drop me a line to say if it's working or not. I'll move it onto www.myelin.co.nz if it does go OK.

Per-post comment RSS feeds. After following the thread on Sam Ruby's blog about Dave's comment tracking feature request, I figured I'd try RSS-izing comments on each of my posts. As things seem to have been going lately, I'd underestimated MovableType, and it turned out *so* much easier than I'd thought. :) I'd had an RSS feed for comments overall on my site, but now I have individual RSS feeds for each post. (Notice the in the comments section... [0xDECAFBAD]

This is a really good idea for workgroup where a weblog's post can be a discussion seed. It is a way for the participants not to have to check a item periodically. Another time saver. Bravo!
