I tried what I mentionned earlier today: remove the Adaptec and try to initialize the array in RAID5. It doesn't work. I don't really know what I'll do next... If you have any idea, let me know...

A friend of mine I consulted about my SX6000 problems advised me to try to initialize my array without the Adaptec 29160 in my machine. I'll try it tonight when I'll be back from the barber... If it works, I'll probably be able to put it back after the array would have been initialized then formatted. If this doesn't work, I'll replace the Adaptec by the Logitec I bought earlier. I'll be a good way to know if the issue is related to the presence of a SCSI card or to the presence of any SCSI card. I thought about the 10% issue I had yesterday while formatting and initializing an array on my Promise SX6000 and had this bizarre idea: 10% of 6 WD1200JB is alomost equal (68GB) to the size of my RAID0 array I have on my 29160 (67GB). Is it simply a coincidence or is there more room for investigating there?
