I finished building the last half of my system (K7SEM, Duron 1100, 1GB of PC133 SDRAM). I assembled the K7SEM, 1GB of PC133 SDRAM and the SX6000 in my YY-0221 case. There is much more room to breathe than when the S2466N-4M was in place.
I installed XP as my OS finally. W2K crashed 2 times at install time so I got pissed. I could have installed Red Hat 8.0 but I wasn't sure it will play well with the Linux driver of the SX6000. My C isn't good enough to patch up things if they turn ugly.
The machine works like a charm except for one small detail: My two XP boxes can't see each others. I enabled sharing on the second box the same way as I did it on the first but they don't see each other. I can see both of them with all the other machines of the network but they still can't see each other. I looked at the documentation and on the web and can't find what I did wrong. It is supposed to work. I am massively disappointed. I started to build this system (that is now becoming two) around mid-July and it is not fully functional yet. This is way too much. I hope I'll find a solution by tomorrow morning. I am about to give up.
