I solved my sharing problem. It seems that XP didn't accept blank password. I changed the local policy and the problem went away. However i don't like it. It creates a security hole. But since the machine is on a local network invisible from the outside of the firewall, I can live with it.
All would be well if another porblem hasn't poped up: Adobe premiere can't see my DV500PLUS card anymore. I'll open the box tonight, check the cabling and the cards slot's allocation. The problem is probably there...
