As mentionned yesterday, I went downtown at lunch time and bought an ELSA Gladiac 525. The instalation was done without problems. Upon rebooting WinXP recognized it and downloaded/installed the appropriate drivers (version 30.87. I never saw them on nVidia's web site). I ran MadOnion's 3DMark 2001 benchmark and got around 9700. Much better than the score around 950 I had before with my Viper which was state of the art when I bought it. I may try Elsa's own drivers tomorrow, just to compare.
I then resumed my work with Adobe Premiere 6.01. So far so good although I didn't try to capture anything yet. I may try tomorrow after-noon, I am off for Canadian Thanksgiving!
