New toy...
I think that I may have a new addition to my "technology the changed my life" list, a shiny new Apple iPod mini.
This new toy came to me as a gift of appreciation presented to me by my team members at Lowermybills, so it has sentimental value as well as the coolness factor.
My first impressions are that the unit is right sized (my Nokia 6800 is bigger), and it's interface/wheel control are nothing short of an engineering miracle. It has a 4GB Hitachi microdrive, which is more than adequate for me and my digital music library (most of my music still sits on vinyl and magnetic tape) and it does everything I expect out of a MP3. Some of the nice extras are the calendar and contact storage functions. Even though you can not edit the entries, it is nice to be able to look up a phone number whilst listening to the Black Eyed Peas....
I am sure the I will have more to say about my new shiny toy in future posts (I still need to figure out this whole "podcast" thing), but for now, I am going to plug back in and listen to some contagion.
