IBM holds lead on Top 500 Supercomputers List: "IBM holds a 47.8 percent share of the biannual Top 500 Supercomputers list to be released Tuesday at Supercomputing 2006, an industry convention in Tampa, Florida. Second-place Hewlett-Packard Co. holds a 31.2 percent share of systems on the list." [IDG InfoWorld] Finland has now one supercomputer on the list, the HP cluster at CSC in position 80. The Cray XT4 system will be installed in early 2007 and thus in not yet on the list.
