[Item Permalink] Encyclopedia Britannica: I bought it for the articles, not for the pictures -- Comment()
I ordered an update to Encyclopedia Britannica 2004 (DVD-version) in the end of October, 2003, from the Britannica Store. The package arrived in Finland in the beginning of November, and stayed at the warehouse. I wrote some e-mails and got some replies, and was almost ready to give up. However, this Monday the package was delivered.

The reason for the missing package? My address was hand-written on the package, and there were no errors in the address. However, the handwriting was so "original", the some letters were easy to read wrong, for example the letter "H" and the number "3". So, where was the problem? This brings to mind the saying of two policemen: the other could write and the other could read.

But I'm satisfied with EB2004. As they say of Playboy: I bought it for the articles, not for the pictures. EB provides in-depth information about a lot of topics, and this is exactly what I need. The new version is faster and works better with Mac OS X, which is an additional bonus.
