Benching the Benchmarks: Measuring Performance in HPC: "It is time to put to rest, once and for all, misleading measures that only measure "speed," thereby pleasing list builders and marketers, but don't tell the real story. In short, we need to supplement "Teraflops" and LINPACK loops with authentic scientific codes that compute real systems that people care - or ought to care - about."
