I'll manage a new group starting first of September. The new group will focus on supporting scientific applications and software development. There are great challenges ahead. We'll work with Linux-based clusters, grid middleware, future computing platforms, and distributed database architectures. A main topic will be 'integromics' - integrating data, software, and knowledge from different disciplines. It is nice to be on the way to unmapped country. Great group, great people, huge tasks ahead.
