Apple has upgraded the MacBook with Core 2 Duo: "The good: The 1279 o MacBook now has 1 GB RAM and the 80 GB disk. Finally a machine that does not need an upgrade." [:: vowe dot net ::] Now is the time to replace my aging PowerBook G4, which is four years old and starting to show its age. I think the 2 GHz version with 2 GB of memory and 120 GB of hard disk is plenty enough for the next four years.The price is about half of the old PowerBook four years ago, there is double the memory and disk, and the MacBook is 2-5 times as fast.
