Going to Carolina (2:16:50 PM) I'm off to RTP for a few days of W3C meetings - should be fun and hopefully productive! Haven't updated the old blog in a while, so I'll quickly summarize some recent activity: My band had two gigs last weekend, and another one is coming up this Saturday!  It's very exciting to finally be playing out a bit.  If you're in the Boston area and want to come check us out, we're playing September 4th at the Kirkland Cafe.... My product team at Macromedia is tying up the ribbons on a major milestone, and we've all been working really hard to get there.  It's very exciting, and we can't wait to get to the next phase!  It's pretty cool to see the designs we've been talking about actually breathing and functioning.  More details when I can share them. I got a new car!  I have always wanted a convertible, and after a careful review of the finances I decided there was no time like the present.  It's just amazing, and I cannot stop smiling every time I'm driving the thing.  It's black (of course - all my cars have been black), handles like a dream, and makes the commute tons more fun.  I'm just about done with the break-in period now, after which I can really start putting the engine through its paces.  A friend and I are going to do this course in August and learn a little performance driving.  I have never been a real car person in my life before, but I seem to be turning into one... I'm going to be giving a tutorial on Axis at the XML/Web Services One conference in August in Boston OK, time to get ready to head to the airport! Comments? []
