WebObjects Installed on Windows XP and HelloWorld Create-a-Person running

Yeeh hah - late night J2EE, WebObjects and Groove developments on the way. Well we can only hope. Now whatever happened to Zaplet?

I do basically agree with the philosophy of:

"Zaplet Appmail System™ process management software — delivering application functionality directly to a user's inbox."

because email is now as natural as breathing .... so I want to use WebObjects to create dynamic, rich-HTML, database-driven email applications. Stand by. How all this relates to Groove will take me a while.

This is my cue for talking about those picosecond switches we were designing back in the 80s but I'll resist

Broadband proves a winner. More than 30,000 people a week are switching to fast net services in the UK, according to telecoms watchdog Oftel. [BBC News | Technology | UK Edition]

I am really pleased about this development and hope it comes to Lewis real soon now. However ... there are guys out there who would laugh at what we now call 'broad' band. Let me just point you at:

Wild Bill Banyai
Mad Tom Cullen
Champagne Charlie Ironside
Vavoom Victor Mizrahi

all of whom are building 'really fookin fast networks' as we insiders call them in preference to 'broad' band.

WebObjects Lives!

Inspired by Dive into J2EE (look left) and Forrest's obsessive quest for new products, I reckon its time to get my WebObjects dev environment up and running again ...
