Hope so Was SETI@Home successul?!?. Next week, astronomers will cluster at the Arecibo radio telescope to take a closer look at the sources of 100-200 signals of the 5 billion detected by the SETI@home distributed computing effort: "They will use (Arecibo) to target between 100 and 200 locations in the sky where the strongest, clearest, and most promising candidate signals have previously been detected. Only a candidate signal that has been revisited and confirmed in this manner can be considered to be a potential intelligent transmission from the stars." Link Discuss [Boing Boing Blog] 8:13:11 PM
