Killer
So on further investigation that would make them killer whales. Apparently very common round the Minch. Well, not to me ...

Whales
Just outside of Lathamor bay today I saw 4 beautiful whales. Two adult outriders sheltering two young ones. They broke the surface eight or nine times and were very close to the shore. Huge fins and black and white markings.
