Last Tuesday, Mary Beth (my honorary Canadian here in Chicago) and I joined up with friends at the Chicago Outdoor Film Festival.

The night's feature was "It Happened One Night", starring Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert - very funny.

Here is the synopsis pulled from the festival's Web site:
A screwball comedy kicks off the film festival and in this All-Star summer, it's the perfect first pitch. It's also a first time at the festival for film greats Gable, Colbert and Director Frank Capra, all Oscar winners for this movie. Colbert, a rich, spoiled heiress, takes off on the road to meet up with the love of her life, or so she thinks, until she meets up with unemployed newspaperman, Clark Gable. This road picture is a perfect way to celebrate the Centennial of the coast to coast crossing of the automobile.
The night reminded me of Moonlight Cinema in Melbourne. Needless to say, I had a great time.
