Sikh Who Saved India's Economy Is Named Premier. Manmohan Singh, an Oxford-educated economist, has been appointed India's next prime minister, ending a week of high political drama. By Amy Waldman. [New York Times: NYT HomePage]

Democracy, civility, and humanity is still alive in this world -- You can find it only in India!

No other country democratic nation can claim the honor which India has. The United States will not see a minority become the President, at least not for another 100 years! May be we will need another proclamation for it to happen!

The Investors Business Daily attributes the drop in NASDAQ the other day to stock market decline in India and the political uncertainty. Events, especially financial and political, in India can affect world markets. THat tells the world has taken note of India. The general populist media and its army of nincompoops will still beat the drum showcasing the sterotypical picture of India! Screw them!

Value Stream Mapping for Office

How often do you find trainers or consultants bad mouthing their trainees or clients especially when they are not in the audience to defend themselves? Well, this happened recently at a training session on the Value Stream Mapping. I find this behavior disgusting because it shows a lack of respect for everyone!

A good trainer or consultant draws on the criticisms or disagreements to improve their presentation and develop convincing counter arguments. It may be that you  can not convince your detractor but there is no point in belitting the person or client!

I also find trainers and consultant who are unwilling to consider the value of competing methods to be shallow in their knowledge. I understand that these people in the business for a living, so I tend to give them the benefit of doubt.
