Is it not time our MBA students also think of looking at internships outside the US? There is nothing more powerful and enlightening than to experience another culture, amidst that culture. The lessons work both ways. Again, a quote that comes to mind is by George Santayana, "Those who forget their past are condemned to repeat it."
