Campain Ads
This is the first in a series, I hope, to write about the campaign ads for Presidency. I have no particular political leanings in doing this.
Kerry caricature windsurfing
This is perhaps one of the most tasteless ads I have seen in this campaign. Showing a caricature is perhaps meant to show that the candidate is a cartoon character, not worthy of serious consideration. In the ad Kerry crashes into water again implying a demise (crash) in the polls. The captions for each shot is a context-free extraction of Kerry's position. Probably it is fine to say that the ad is distorting (lying) Kerry's votes and positions. All of these done in a poor taste!
