Just got back in from a waste of a trip in Austin...itinerary for the trip looked like this:

Sunday night: Ed and Audrey roll into town, have dinner with friends.  Hopes and expectations for successful trip high.

Monday: take dogs to park to run around.  Park is closed.  Dogs whine as they realize that they will not get to go to "their" park.  Have lunch with a friend to discuss some business opportunities.  Spend afternoon preparing for meetings and on the phone.  Dogs bark all night keeping me up and making me cranky.  Plans to go out to dinner with friends cancelled.  Make an emergency trip to Academy to buy sweatshirts since it was WARM when we left Houston on Sunday and we naively assumed it would stay that way for at least a day.

Tuesday:  Wake up from my 2 hours of sleep.  Austin completely iced over.  Cancel meetings.  Watch TV in my hotel since I fear leaving the hotel.  Make some phone calls and cancel meeting in San Antonio for Wednesday.

Wednesday:  Get pissed off at crappy weather and head home.  Ahhh, the fun and excitement that was had!  Oh, the business opportunities that NEVER happened!  Yay, me!
