Yes, Arley, I did like those articles.  I had read most of them before in Fortune, but I did appreciate the sneak preview of this year's Berkshire Hathaway Annual Report.  Thanks.

Take That, Monica! Kapow, Chandler!. Carnage and comedy unite in "Quake/Friends," where gladiators from "Quake," the ultraviolent computer game, meet the cast of the television show. By Matthew Mirapaul. [New York Times: Technology]

It's interesting to think of the Internet as a viable new stage for the next revolution in street theater (we already have blackpeopleloveus.com).  I have a feeling the Quake/Friends concept while original will fall a little flat, but it has the potential to tap the collective minds of the masses and inspire something better.  Besides, Quake movies are nothing new, but as the technology gets a little more polished, it won't be long before 12 year old kids are directing digital movies without actors.  And the best part of the sloppy state of text to voice technology is that the movies will likely be more story driven, as opposed to dialogue driven, offering a true alternative to Hollywood's sorry state of affairs.
