I just discovered the "Desktop Overlay Mode" on WinAMP's AVS visualization display. I have to admit that it's pretty damn cool eye candy. It basically takes the AVS display and mirrors it to your desktop background and icon text so that you can have pretty eye-candy that doesn't interfere with your working. I dig it! I also don't know why I haven't discovered it before since it's on the AVS "Dock In Config" (simply right click on your AVS window and choose "Dock In Config," then go to "Settings"->"Display" from the drop down menu. Unfortunately you can't take a screenshot of the effect (or I'm too stupid to know how). I am definitely losing my "geek edge.
