You know you are getting up the tech support chain at any company when the people at the other end start throwing jargon at you to explain your problem.  I'm knee deep in CLECs and WINBACs now...I feel that the solution is close now.

It seems that my number was transferred and Vonage just doesn't realize they have it.  Back to Vonage now...

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank the kind lady from the Commercial Accounts division at SBC who took the time to explain the number transfer process to me and give me my order number and posting date even though I was a Residential Account and had nothing to do with her.  I didn't catch her name, but she was the first person I dealt with all day who didn't treat me like I was an idiot for messing this process up.

Something seems to be afoot on the Interweb (as JeffK would say). Many domains appear unreachable (such as LiveJournal) and have been for the better half of the afternoon. Is it just me?

Watching phone services battle for your account sux...4 hours and counting...

I just got off the phone with the guys at Vonage in regards to my lack of ability to receive incoming calls and it appears that there is a routing problem somewhere. I can receive incoming calls from certain area codes but not from others.  Most of the cellular providers can't seem to find me either.  They hope to get it resolved in a few hours.

*ACK!*  For some reason my Vonage phone service has me listed as disconnected!  I can still dial out on the phone, but all incoming calls say the number has been disconnected.  I think for some reason when I called to disconnect my SBC service it undid my number transfer.

I've been on hold for the better part of a half hour now.  Today is shaping up to be one of those days where you work alot and get nothing done.

I'm reading a press release on Taco Bell's "Chicken Caesar Grilled Stuffit Burrito," and the following quote is just too good to pass on without comment:

Almost half of Americans - 46 percent or more than 128 million people - say they prefer food "wrapped in a tortilla" when feeling adventurous, according to a Taco Bell® Food Survey. (emphasis mine)

Forget snowboarding in Aspen, or skateboarding a half-pipe, or jumping out of a plane...when I'm feeling extreme I like to get something "wrapped in a tortilla!" That's danger, MAN! That's LIVIN' ON THE EDGE!

Don't mess with me, man, or I just might be tempted to unleash a pack of "Fire" hot sauce in your eye! That's right, fool....IN...YOUR...EYE!!!
