I'm aware that it's Bush's style to keep things nice and simple, but it gets to the point that to simplify a complex situation is equivalent to lying.
In the immortal words of Albert Einstein,
And I think that is one of the root problems with most of our politics today, politicians rule by catch phrases. People, by nature are prone to "sound bite" decision-making. It's at our core. The only way to even attempt to overcome it is to realize its effects and probe deeper into the issues you think are important. Really try to understand the human nature of decision-making and try and comprehend why our leaders are doing what they're doing.

Things should be made as simple as possible, but not any simpler.
