New Bad Religion album, "The Empire Strikes First" is now out...be sure to check out the free downloads on the site including, "Let Them Eat War," which just absolutely rocks! Strangely, they don't seem to have the album on iTunes.
They will be in the Houston area 06/25/2004 and Dallas on 06/26/2004 with the Warped Tour. Check em out if you get a chance because they are absolutely incredible live.

Remounting filesystem read-only

My Linux box got spiked in yesterday's huge storm. It is not very happy...when I went to reboot the hard drive started clicking like crazy. It's been booting for the better part of a half hour now. I doubt I'll be able to recover much...especially with no network connectivity. I promise I will start backing up data, I promise I will start backing up data, I promise...
On the bright side, the firewall came up, so I'm relatively secure from hacking while I attempt to recover crap.

Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.
It just spiraled into a random assortment of clicks and whirrs from there. I guess it's
