The Ring was originally made in 1998, based on a novel by Suzuki Koji. It is the tale of a cursed videotape...That kills whoever watches it. It has subsequently spawned a sequal, a prequal and a recent american remake. The main characters of the books and films vary, but the villain is the same, a murdered girl, whos psychic powers have enabled her to take dark vengence upon the entire world.
