PC Rooms: Rated M for Mockery. This article from the NY Times about parents (or babysitters) dropping off 7-11 year olds at businesses that set up networked PCs so you can play Half-Life or some other "shoot 'em up"  for $5/hour just disgusts me. Sure, we should have some kind of rating system on games, and yes, these businesses should care about the age of their patrons, but it begs the BIG question..... Where are the Parents?

What are these so call adult guardians doing? I'm sorry, but anyone that has a pre-teen no longer has the excuse that our parents had of not knowing what this whole "computer thing" is about. If your kids are playing these games, it's your fault. Why not just let them watch whatever they want on TV, like horror movies, or professional wrestling?.....oh wait.....they are. Will someone please explain this abdication of responsiblity to me?
