I'm on a roll. A blogroll, that is! Just noticed that another medical
blog has added Tales of Hoffman. Pay a visit to The Eyes Have It, a great
blog by Lee Potts covering visual communications in the pharmaceutical
and medical industries. Hey, any blog that can manage to mention Tufte,
The Visible Human Project and MTV on one page, gets two thumbs up in my
book!

Slight digression into pop culture....watched the first episode of Survivor last night, but due to the vaguaries of TIVO, I missed the first 15 minutes (for those of you who are fluent in Tivo, just because you have a Season Pass for last year's Survivor, you shouldn't assume it will work for this year's Survivor). In any event, my wife was all over me for that -- of course when any consumer electronics device does not work as expected in my home, it's my fault! Did anything happen in the first 15 mintues that is important? Or was it a normal, "meet the contestants" kind of opening?

This blog is now officially "launched." I wanted to try to do it in relative obscurity for a few weeks to prove to myself that: 1) I had something to say (ok, maybe that's something you should judge) and 2) I could keep up the discipline of posting nearly daily. At least I've got #2 licked. Anyway, last night I send a load of emails to friends, colleagues, etc. and will probably send a few more out today if I get a chance. If you're coming as a result of that email, welcome! Feel free to comment here or send me an email. Nothing like re-connecting with old friends.
