Update: Dazed and Confused ran a little over 18 minutes - about the same length as Alice's Restaurant and the gap on the Nixon Tapes. What was next - that's why I am updating this - I knew you wanted to know. Well it's Calexico and a tune called Black Light from an album of the same name. That's the last update today from Dave FM. But stay tuned. RD truly out for now.

Interested in PodCasting - take a look at this

Podcasting After ITunes. It's been a year since Apple Computer updated its digital jukebox software with broad support for syndicated homebrew audio. What's been accomplished and what's next? By Steve Friess. [Wired News: Top Stories]

'Imitation IPod' Invades Radio. It's like listening to a middle-aged drunkard's iPod set to shuffle, but the Jack FM radio format is spreading across the dial. By Dave Demerjian. [Wired News: Top Stories]

This is pretty interesting reading. If you have ever listened to Bob FM then you have a feel for what this article is talking about. When I work on the computer I typically have itunes on shuffle and I get a wide variety of music. I don't know what's coming next but I know I will like it. That's the concept behind Jack FM, or Bob FM or Mike FM, whatever its called where you listen. I guess mine is Dave FM - I had Jackson Browne a few minutes ago singing Somebodys Girl, followed by Geoge Thorogood and Bad to the Bone, now it's Led Zeppelin with Dazed and Confused, what next??? Anyway you get the idea - hit the link and you will know even more.

Back From Florida
I am back from Florida and happy to be home where the sun shines most of the time. The training went well and I was happy to be working inside out of the rain. I guess the typical summer day in Florida includes a little rain and a lot of sun. While I was there it stayed cloudy and rained most of the time. So back in Austin it's hot and the sun is shining. I was back on two wheels and happy to be here.

We were not going to go to the ACL Music Festival this year after suffering through the heat and dust last year. But then they came out with the single day tickets and the schedule for this year's event. I caved in and got tickets for the last day of the festival. That is Sunday the 17th. Heres why: Kasey Chambers, KT Tunstall, Tom Petty, Ben Harper, Buckwheat Zydeco, and many more. Too many of our favorites to pass it up. You might want to go too. Google ACL Festival and it will take you to enlightenment.

I have added another motorcyle related link to my links list at the left. The "long Way Home" link will take you to a blog written by a motorcyclist that moved from England to South Africa - or is still in the process of moving. She has included many photos on her blog, rides a BMW 650 and will tell you a lot about what she sees and feels along the way.

On the agenda: yard work early this morning and a furniture auction tonight. In between those extremes, a lot of dog hugs, and a little time on two wheels. RiverDogs out.
