KRISTIN - if you are reading this - happy birthday! The next time we get together we will celebrate this one, this milestone of a birthday.
On itunes at the this momemt, one of the best albums of the year, bar none. Drive-By Truckers and the album A Blessing and A Curse. This band from Georgia is maybe making the best music in the country right now. What a listening experience. I went out last weekend and picked up Pizza Deliverance which was their second album from back in '99. Two examples - quite different from each other - but both great in their own way. Three screaming guitars just where you want them, it resonates with me.
I signed up for a couple of photography classes this morning - I will be doing some portrait shooting in mid-October. My hope is that the classes will light my creative fire and get me off the dime. I think it's going to be great and focused on portraiture where I need some help. This is a real area of interest for me, and one that I have been reluctant to expand.
