Another week and another bunch of AA miles. This time it was Springfield, Illinois and a dose of wet and cold (may I say miserable) weather. It is soooooooo good to be back in Austin for a return to sun and warmth. My gosh this is a great place. Forget the fact that we melt six months out of the year. October and November cannot be beaten by the weather anywhere.
Usually I tell you about the local football team or I laud the latest Longhorn victory. Yes they are both continuing to win in spite of themselves. I am happy about that. But most I am just happy to be home for a few days. I am so looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas, and the peace and joy that brings here at the RiverDogs house (not the dog house, but you might call it that, mistakenly).
I have not had a minute to get out with the new Rollei and shoot some great stuff. We did manage to get away yesterday to a elementary school carnival with Ella. Great time with lots of games to entertain the kids, with prizes mind you. Then we went to the camera store for some goodies for me, and to the furniture store. Can you say "leather chair and sofa?" Well maybe soon you will be able to sit on same - you have to come here to do it of course.
It's Vista training this week - I get to be a student instead of a teacher. Yahoo! I will tell you all about it later. And if you have to ask "what's Vista? then we have even more to talk about. Just some geeky new OS coming for MS in the near future. You will get sick of hearing about it, for now just be content to not be in the know. Really!
