We made it through the last five days together without , let me repeat, without getting in the way of each other, or even on each other's nerves. I am talking about being stuck in our cabin for five days while we wait for Austin to thaw. This has been the 2007 Big Chill; the roads and businesses have been shut down since Monday because of a major arctic ice storm. When the streets of this city freeze up, there is little to do but wait it out. So we waited.
I was able to work from home since I have most of what I need with me all the time. Network access proved difficult with so many people hitting the servers at the same time. I also worked on many of my home projects - things like organizing the photos, cleaning the file cabinet, and other non-interesting blahty blah.
I think the RiverDogs wondered what was going on. I chipped and thawed the ice off the vehicles last night. It ranged from a quarter inch thick to 3/4 inch thick across the hood, windshield, and roof of all three chariots. We are ready to hit the road today, I hope the road won't hit us back. It is going to be so good to just go somewhere, even if that somewhere is work.
I will be back with fascinating tales of the unknown, the unexplored, and the unwanted. Until then, it is RD out for now.
