It Rained and Rained Again
We had over 13 inches of rain in the month of March. I think that is a record for March since we have lived here. Everything is very, very green and the bluebonnets are blooming better than they have for the last several years. If you are in the neighborhood, you need to stop by and enjoy.
The jeep is in the shop for a steroid injection today. When I see the buggy again it will sit a little higher and be running 33 inch tires. Kathy will need a step ladder to get on board. I woke up early today and couldn't get back to sleep thinking about going offroad - where, I don't know, just offroad somewhere. Offroad is kind of where it has been for me. What the heck does that mean? Hey, it's a good thing.
In the background I am listening to Rickie Lee Jones singing the words of Jesus - her new album is "The Sermon on Exposition Boulevard" and I am tuned in to a video from the Borders store in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Very, very cool concept. They videotape the performance and make it available for download as a podcast. And, of course you don't have to have an ipod to see and hear it, just a computer. What a treat. Now the song, Nobody Knows My Name. How appropriate for Holy Week. God Bless us all and wherever you find yourself in this life, thank God for all that you have.
I am making a new promise to bring the voice of the RiverDogs more often in the coming weeks and months. There are things to be said (and done) and this is where we will share all of that. RiverDogs Out.
