Hello RD fans.
We are nearing the end of November 2007 and I have been living life to the full. I start a new job at a small Austin company on Friday, November 30. I will be working a dual role as an instructional designer and technical writer. The company is doing some very interesting things using satellite positioning, crafting a commercial product that is going to help many, many people save a lot of money. Needless to say, I am thrilled at the opportunities that lie before me.
The RiverDogs are better than ever. Syd went through a spell over the last year where we thought she had something very serious wrong with her, but now it appears to be in remission. Her worst problem is that she thinks she is a major guard dog and has to announce anyone's arrival with incessant barking. The smallest sounds will set her off. We don't get that many visitors so the problem is not that big a deal.
Let's see what else has been happening. Kathy's parents were in the area for Thanksgiving. They drove out to Wimberley and we all met there for the big day. They stayed with Kathy's great-aunt Ande and stayed there till their return to St. Louis on Sunday. John was intending to bring his classic BMW R100RT with him but his truck malfunctioned the day before they left. I am buying the "classic" from him and cannot wait to get on it and go for a long ride. There's no telling when that might be - although a Christmas trip to St. Louis is a possibility.
