The latest music to hit the cd player is the new album from Damien Rice. Reminds me of Nick Drake. The difference is that he is popular and Nick Drake was dead thirty years before he made it big.
Also new is the Eric Clapton ode to Robert Johnson. Very good, very fun.
Locally, we had a chance to get out last weekend and heard Ruthie Foster and the Gourds at the Austin Fine Arts Fair. Ruthie continues to gain fans and why not? She is fabulous. The Gourds were also very impressive. The weekend was beautiful with thousands just roaming the aisles, staying hydrated and enjoying art and music. What is better than that?
