thirty seven years ago today I joined the Marine Corps.

 

thirty seven years ago today Lenny Bruce died of a drug overdose.

 

I didn't know anything about Lenny Bruce until six months later.

 

Coincidence, I once read, merely means that the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.
