Welcome to my page... where I'm always right and no one can argue with me.

Oh, by the way, in case anyone missed it, Bush has a fabulous plan to cut down more forests so we can have less forest fires. Of course, the result is the same, which is no forests. Wow, what a genius. Here is a link to a list of candidates who are opposing really ridiculously conservative candidates in various congressional races, if anyone is interested. I haven't looked through the whole page so I don't know how many are listed or which all the states are.  7:27:08 AM  permalink

TGIF. I finally took pictures of my old school cool future shoes that I'll post. I know some people, like Joy Roberson, are waiting to see them.

Anyway, we are supposed to go to dinner somewhere cute in the North End tonight but we didn't pick a place yet so I don't know how that's going to work out. We'll see...

Rob thinks he has a cavity and needs to go to the dentist but we can't find his dental insurance card to he has to ask about it at work today. He's also really scared because he had very bad dentist experiences in the past. So he's going to need a very very nice gentle dentist. This reminds me of my friend Laura, who always would get laughing gas at the dentist, even when she was like 20.

Happy Friday everybody. Have a good day.  7:22:23 AM  permalink

I don't have the energy to look right now, but there's a good site to look at for all the crazy mistakes Bush has made in his speeches since his presidency - and even during his campaign. But anyway, yesterday (Wednesday) or the day before he did a really bad one. He was giving some speech in Tennessee and said basically as follows:

"There's an old saying in Tennessee... well, we have it in Texas I think it's in Tennessee. Fool me once... pause...shame on you... long pause...foolmewell you can't get fooled again."

This was of course supposed to be, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me." What is wrong with this guy? Doesn't he have a speech-writer? Don't they put this on a teleprompter right in front of his face? Can he read? How embarrassing. For our country I mean.  12:05:29 AM  permalink

Sorry for not posting last night. It was a very crazy busy day at work because I was out in the morning and taking Thursday off.

I have my yearly review coming up in the next week or so and I need to talk to them about how there's way too much going on and I can't do the job alone. (Until May there were 2 of us up on the floor.) Crappy. I am not looking forward to it because I'm anxious that somehow it will get twisted to be that I'm slacking off or something, which I'm not. Who needs this kind of stress for a stupid admin job?

Today Amy and I went to Northampton - she doesn't work Thursdays and I took the day off. It was really fun. Except for when a bird pooped on my head on campus and I cried and Amy had to wash it out for me.

I took photos of the construction on campus, which I'll post when I get a chance. Hopefully tomorrow.  12:00:08 AM  permalink
