R-E-S-P-E-C-T, please  11:44:22 PM  permalink

Today at work was fine... a lot of people were out traveling so it was kind of quiet on my floor. I was still pretty busy, but it wasn't out of control.

After work I met Shannon and her friend Rachel (I may have misspelled that) at the Boston Common Theatre to see My Big Fat Greek Wedding. It was really cute. Really funny too.

Then I came home and Rob was just coming home too. He met me at the parking lot near the train with the car because he couldn't park in our driveway because for the second day in a row someone else (some stranger we presume) had parked there. I was all geared up for a fight and was prepared to sit in my car honking the horn or sit on their car waiting for them so I could scream at them like a crazy person, but it was gone when we got back. Damn it! I need to catch someone in the act. I'm dying to tell someone off.

Meanwhile, we have discovered that somehow the apartment on the first floor of this building is way better than ours - it's the same size but it looks way nicer - like more work has been done. We have shitty carpet but the guy was being wishy-washy about replacing it so we just said nevermind we're going to cover it up with area rugs anyway. But now I wish we had the time and perserverence to get him to fix it up. Ugh. Also, the electrical issues. I guess we can't plan on staying here for very long. That sucks. We better do some serious saving so we can move again and/or save to buy something. What a pain!

Anyway, lucky us, Billy is crying to go outside. Of course I just took him out and he was doing this delightful thing where he sniffs at one spot for like 5 minutes, very intently, just sniffing and sniffing. I guess this means about 5,000 dogs peed in that same spot and he's got to wade through all the different smells. But also I'm pissed because he wouldn't go so I brought him in and now he has to go again.

Also, I'm really tired but I have to get up on time or even early tomorrow because there's a 9am meeting at the office that I have to make sure is set up, etc. Well, it's not that big a thing but I need to make a few copies at least.

Can't think of anything else exciting going on. Oh, there's a big to-do at my work because they installed security cameras a few weeks ago without telling anyone, which to my understanding isn't legal - you have to tell people there are cameras present or it's an invasion of privacy, because you're not allowed to just videotape people. Of course, people found out about it and are asking a million questions, but they still haven't made any kind of announcement or statement about it. Really swift, guys. Hey, maybe if you just told people what was going on they wouldn't be wasting half their day(s) on this kind of stupid gossip.

Oh, I have one more story. I'll post it just as a link. Good night.  11:38:04 PM  permalink

Today (Tuesday) I met my friend Sara with other friends from the office, Pauline and Malvika. First we got a brief tour of her new office, then we had a nice lunch at The Good Life on Kingston Street downtown.

Rob just told me he wished we had nudie channels. Nice.

Anyway, mostly it was a pretty good day. We had a good dinner at home and ice cream for dessert, and we watched Smallville. It was fun.

The cats have recently left many cat pukes around the apartment for us. Sometimes in really nice places like a pile of clean laundry. Yes, it may be our fault for leaving our clean laundry out, but it still makes me want to shake the cats. Don't worry, I know I shouldn't shake the baby, so I won't. But it's tempting.

Anyway, I'm wicked tired so it's time for bed. Good night.  12:22:12 AM  permalink
