Welcome to my page... where I'm always right and no one can argue with me.

Today (Saturday) we got up kind of early and went downtown to eat breakfast at Marchemovenpick, this crazy restaurant at the Pru. We have gone there a bunch of times for lunch and dinner but it's kind of hard for breakfast because you have to individually order everything (ie: they didn't have anything pre-cooked that you could get) so it took a while and if you went to a different station for different items that made it longer. Also, for no reason I can think of, I just totally dropped my smoothie onto my plate with my omelette and spilled 90% of it. It was embarrassing. And then I had strawberry flavored omelette to eat. Oops. But the food was yummy.

Then Rob and I walked over to the Common Theater, where I was meeting Amy to see the admittedly very trashy movie, Sweet Home Alabama. Rob thought he might see another movie that was playing at the same time, that way we could go home together afterwards. But there were no movies playing at the same time - the closest was one starting 40 minutes after ours. So he went to see that one, The Transporter.

Anyway, Amy and I had fun at our trashy movie. Then afterward I went to McDonald's with her because she hadn't eaten yet at all. So I ate about 10 of her fries (because I am trying to eliminate fries from my eating habits...) and shared her soda... which I am also trying to wean myself from.

It was misty raining all day today so it was kind of yucky because we had walked downtown from home and we walked back. I felt like a drowned rat when I got home.

Well, it is pretty late and I guess we'll be going to bed soon. We spent the rest of the night once we got home cooking and eating dinner and doing a little laundry and straightening up a bit. Tomorrow we'll get more done. Of course, laundry is still a problem because our landlord has a piece of shit dryer in the basement that only dries on the highest heat so for a ton of our clothes that's too hot. So we can either do our laundry at a laundromat, or wash it here and hang it to dry which takes forever, and also limits how much we can do at a time because we don't exactly have unlimited hanging space in the apartment. Ugh, he (the landlord) totally pisses me off. He acts like he's going to do something about it but then he supposedly "looks at" it and I never hear another peep about it. Jerky.

Well, goodnight kids.  12:33:54 AM  permalink
